Woodend Playgroup wins the
Minister’s Award for Innovation and Excellence
at the 2017 Playgroup Victoria Awards
Woodend Playgroup received the award from the Minister for Early Childhood Education Jenny Mikakos at a ceremony held on Friday 17 November at the Melbourne Aquarium.
Woodend Playgroup was commended for their commitment to helping families connect with each other, first-time parents and the natural environment.
“Although nominated we attended the event purely to join in the festivities, meet other committees and see the incredible work taking place at Playgroups across Victoria,” said Kim Turner, President of Woodend Playgroup. “We couldn’t have been more surprised and delighted to receive such an honour”.
“Playgroup Victoria is delighted that Woodend Playgroup has been recognised for their Innovation and Excellence with the Ministers Award at the 2017 Playgroup Awards,” said Danny Schwarz, CEO of Playgroup Victoria. “Woodend Playgroup is a bustling, vibrant and eco-friendly centre creating a welcoming environment for their diverse and community spirited members.”
